Ten years behind the decks as DJ DBO: reading rooms, building energy, and learning how to hold an audience.
Born in Pittsburgh and making music since I was 13, I started DJing in 2010 and became a recognized name in the student and nightlife scenes of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. At Temple I held a three-year residency at PKT fraternity and played house parties, campus bars and Philadelphia nightclubs, then brought DBO Live and the Make Sure You Have Fun™ showcase to Pittsburgh. My sets fused house, hip-hop, EDM and Jersey club, and I produced my own records too: Bounty Hunter, my remix of Erykah Badu’s “On & On,” and the Belong Here house mixes. In 2019 I retired from DJing to focus full-time on video production and creative direction.
In 2010 I moved from the mic to the decks, and DJ DBO was born.
Campus parties grew into clubs, charity events and fashion shows across Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
Reading a crowd is reading an audience. In 2019 I retired DJ DBO to put that instinct fully behind the camera.
